The AlOjeiri Scientific Center announced that, according to precise astronomical calculations conducted by specialists at the center, the first day of Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr) will astronomically fall on Sunday, March 30.

Regarding the details of the crescent moon’s birth on the sighting day, which corresponds to Ramadan 29 (March 29), the center indicated that sighting conditions in Kuwait will be difficult, and the crescent may not be visible. It explained that the crescent will be born on Saturday at 1:57 PM and will remain in the skies of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for only 8 minutes. The final decision on the official start of Shawwal will be determined by the relevant Moon Sighting Authority.
