The AlOjeiri Scientific Center stated today, Saturday, that the second phase of the Wasm season, known as AlSimak will begin tomorrow, Sunday, and lasts for 13 days, marking the start of noticeable nighttime coolness. In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the center added that during the AlSimak phase, nighttime temperatures drop, the winds are humid at sunrise, the nights become longer, and the noon prayer time reaches its earliest point of the year.
The center explained that one of the notable features of this phase is the feeling of coldness in the water, especially in the morning. Historically, this phase was known by the ancients as a time when camels displayed signs of agitation, drank less water, and sheep frequently gave birth. It is also a period with increased chances of rainfall.
It was mentioned that nighttime hours noticeably increase, reaching 12 hours and 53 minutes. Sunrise occurs at 5:58 AM, and according to the Ajiri calendar, the dawn prayer time is at 4:38 AM, while sunset is relatively early at 5:05 PM. The statement also highlighted that during the AlSimak phase, the noon prayer call reaches its earliest point of the year at 11:32 AM.
