Summer is entering its final stages with the arrival of the Kleepin season tomorrow, Sunday.

The Al Ojeiri Scientific Center announced today, Saturday, that summer is entering its final stages with the arrival of the Kleepin season tomorrow, Sunday, August 11, which is considered the last season to record an increase in solar heat.

In a press statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the center stated that the Kleepin season lasts for 13 days and serves as a transition between high temperatures and mild weather. It is regarded as the sixth phase of summer according to the Bedouin Arabs and the seventh in the calendar of solar and lunar phases.

The center added that the strong winds known as "Samoom" calm down during the Kleepin season, and the earth's surface cools down. By the end of the season, it noted that the Kleepin refers to two stars that are part of the last group of the Greater Dog constellation recognized by astronomers.

It explained that during the Kleepin season, a gradual moderation in weather is observed, especially during the night, indicating that nighttime hours continue to increase relative to daytime hours. At the beginning of the season, daytime lasts for 13 hours and 18 minutes, while nighttime lasts for 10 hours and 41 minutes.
