The AlOjeiri Scientific Center stated that the giant blue planet, Neptune, will be at its closest point to Earth today, Saturday, the 21st - Kuwait.

The center added in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Neptune will be fully illuminated by the sun, making it visible throughout the night, brighter, and more radiant than at any other time of the year. It is the best time to observe and photograph it.

The center further mentioned that this phenomenon can be observed in the skies over Kuwait using a small telescope, noting that Neptune appears as a small blue dot in all telescopes, except for large ones.

The statement also announced that tomorrow, Sunday, the moon will rise at approximately 10 p.m., accompanied by the Pleiades star cluster. This conjunction can be seen with the naked eye in the east and will remain visible until the brightness of the morning twilight overshadows the view as the sun rises.
