Al-Ojeiri stated in a press release that more than a hundred young men and women participated in observing astronomical phenomena during the months of March and April, including the recent observation of the Lyrid meteor shower and the full moon of April.

He mentioned that the center provides logistical and scientific support to astronomy enthusiasts and amateurs by providing telescopes and binoculars for participating in observing astronomical phenomena and enjoying them.

He also mentioned the center's launch of a series of astronomy courses for beginners, which are free of charge and implemented in cooperation with the Qatari Calendar House.

Furthermore, he added that more than 63 Kuwaiti youth participated in a basic astronomy course held for three days from April 20th to 23rd, 2024. The course covered principles of planets, stars, timing, lunar phases, and learning directions through star and sun positions, among other topics.

He emphasized the center's continuous efforts to spread astronomy knowledge among students and citizens, noting that the center previously provided scientific references and books by Dr. Saleh Al-Ojeiri free of charge to students and researchers.

He also mentioned that the center is embarking on a series of developments and collaborations in the field of astronomy, including updating the center's application, which provides subscribers with free access to timings, events, agricultural calendars, mosque locations, weather-related conditions associated with seasons, lunar phases, and astronomical phenomena.
